Good news for travel lovers: a green pass will allow us to travel without restrictions. And Italy is studying a pass to issue as soon as possible while waiting for the European one.
|
Now it is possible to travel among regions only if they are marked as "yellow". In case you need to understand how the color coding works, here is a little guide. The date to save is May 15: it seems we will be able to move freely among regions and with any need to quarantine. Start planning your trips!

More about Italy
Looking for a free holiday? The municipality of Macchiagodena, Molise, offers free overnight stays in order to promote the territory. You can visit village, castle, surroundings and discover their traditions. All you have to do is fill in this form (sorry, it's only in Italian) and bring a book to gift. The whole initiative aims at promoting reading as well as "Borghi della Lettura" a network of places where you can stop to read and take part in cultural initiatives.
|
The book I will bring with me in case I win? "La cucina del buon gusto" where Simonetta Agnello Hornby talks about the pleasure of eating...between Sicily and England.

Oh and as much as food is concerned...

Slow Food is ready with Fish, the renowned Fish fair that takes place in Genua. From June 3 there will be online events but from 1-4 July we can all meet in Genoa, Liguria, for the physical gathering. And in September we are waiting for Cheese, the kermesse in Bra, Piedmont, dedicated to... well, cheese of course.

What's next
One of the most successful post of my blog is the one dedicated to the ancient villages of Acerenza and Pietragalla. It seems there is a great interest in visiting rural hamlets, so the idea is to try to give them more space on the blog. Which is also the reason why I decided to start blogging. Italy is not only Rome, Florence or Venice. Do you agree?
