Dear friends,
big announcement this week (but I guess you already know).

Italy won the Eurovision contest. It seems Malta didn't take it well. Maltese are thinking of leaving Europe. The French asked the commission to check if our singer was on drugs in order to disqualify Italy and get the victory (spoiler: the drug test was negative, nice try France!). Even Uk did not seem happy: zero points from Europe means only one thing: Europe has not accepted Brexit. Eurovision proves clearly that when it comes to serious matters, we are ready to protest, fight and strike. Ah, and we though that the circus was only in Italy!

Anyway, we are eager to host the Eurovision Contest next year. Personally I also loved Finland and Ukraine, a song, from the latter, that is so psychedelic that you get high without getting high. Google it and see.

More about Italy

Vaccinations against Covid-19 are speeding up. We are running towards herd immunity. And it was about time! In case you are an expat and need info about were to get your shot, here is a useful tool.
Apple has opened the biggest store of Europe. It is in Rome, in Via del Corso in the amazing Palazzo Marignoli. Add it to the free things to do in Rome, as it is absolutely worth a visit.
Inside the Cocoricò, a famous Italian dance club, there is a new Contemporary Art Museum, Mudi.

And other things on the blog

Antico Balon is nice restaurant where you can find traditional dishes and pizza right next to the big market of Porta Palazzo.

While here you will find what you can expect when eating in an Italian restaurant.

Oh, by the way, if you are visiting Turin, you will find a column with events here
It is called Turin Confidential and it is written by....me. Fear not, I'll stay humble.

Job Opportunities

In Milan, Dolce & Gabbana are looking for a Books and Editorials specialist.

If you prefer Rome, Jellysmack is looking for an English/Italian Youtube casting coordinator.

Moncler is looking for a Social Media Copywriter in Milan.

And Domestika a Layout Editor who is fluent in both Italian and English.

What's next

I am chasing a famous street artist these days, as I'd like to interview him for the blog. But I am also hoping to stumble upon Kevin Spacey. Yes, that Kevin Spacey. He is in Turin for a new movie (the first after the huge scandal which stopped an amazing career). I do not know what to think about him, but I'd definitely be surprised to meet Frank Underwood.
