Art and the Supermarket

It’s the Art week again in Torino. The lights spread all around the city centre for the Christmas period and conceived by contemporary artists have been already switched on and, in less than 48 hours, Artissima, The Others, Paratissima will open their doors to visitors.

Year after year, the week with a contemporary art fair has transformed itself and the city with thousands of events located in a former prison, former factories, art galleries, private homes, hotels but I’ve never heard about a supermarket.

Curated by Antonio d’Amico, the Carrefour supermarket in Corso Belgio will host 6 international renowned artists, among which the sculptors Bertozzi and Casoni. The idea behind the project is to turn a supermarket in a place for art. I bet Andy Warhol would have been delighted!

From Thursday, 5th November, until Sunday, 8th, you will have the possibility to visit the exhibition and take advantage of the place for some shopping with a 10% discounts. All you have to do is to print the coupons below and show them at the cashier. There will also be a Martini Barman to welcome you.
